SnackPolicy
Students may bring a healthy snack to class each day. (No chips, cookies, or sugar-filled snacks please.) We typically have snack right after PE in the mornings.
Students may also bring a water bottle to keep on their desk. Students may refill their water bottle at snack time and after lunch.

Birthdays
The district has gone to a no-food policy for birthday treats. We still want to celebrate your child's birthday. We will sing, they will get a special birthday chair pocket to use that day, and we will do other things to make their day special. Kids may bring non-food items as a treat to share with friends if they wish!
Sample items:
glow stick bracelets, etc.
little trinkets from the Dollar Tree or Party City
pencils
erasers
stickers
Other ideas:
-They could bring a new picture book for our class library. We will put a label inside (similar to what the school library does) to show that your child donated the book for their birthday.
- We could use inside recess and fun Friday activity items. Things like legos, cars, gel pens, fun markers, stickers, etc. would all be very well received as well!
**Birthday invites may only be sent into school if the entire class, all girls, or all boys, are invited! This will help keep feelings from getting hurt should some kids not be invited, as I know it is difficult to invite everyone!
